Noodle Review #7 Spiral Noodle on Cary Street Richmond, Virginia First up: Bacon and Cheese Rangoon I know that they are not noodles but the waiter was very convincing. The rangoons come out quickly; they are crunchy, chewy, salty, smoky and sweet. There is some fatty bacon inside that is difficult to chew and the dipping sause is thick and mabey a little too sweet. I chose these because it's a unique take on my favorite fried classic. 3 out of 5 Next up: Noodlessss The ordering is done sushi style. The host brought me a slip of paper and a little pencil. I like this ordering style. It is quicker than reading over a long menu. There are many tentalizing options. I choose: Vietnamese rice noodles with grilled shrimp, kale, bokchoy, shiitake mushroom, boiled egg and cilantro in Japanese tonkatsu soup. The noodles also come quickly with a fresh aroma. First Broth Sip: the broth is light but flavorful. Its salty and rich. Yummy! First Noodle Slurp: Noodles are soft and chewy and soaked up lots of broth flavor. I have to say, these noodles are cooked perfectly. Inside the soup: The shrimp has been seasoned and the tails removed. Much better than expected. The Egg was boiled soft and the yolk is still a little bit translucent even though I left it until last to taste. I did add S&B Chili Pepper after tasting because I have a spicy tooth but it was not needed. (there is a sauce bar, I just didn't get to it) I give Spiral Noodle a 4.5 out of 5 for taste, presentation and overall experience. Point loss for the Rangoon. #adro #rva #rvaeats #rvadine #rvafoodie #review #noodle #noodlecritic #adrienne #richmond #noodles #noodlesoup #yum #eat #food #fotd #foodoftheday #lunch #lunchtime #foodporn #foodie #noodlelover #japanesefood #noodlereview #pasta #carytown #spiralnoodle #spiralnoodlerva by adriennegainer
