My baby girl is in the mood for comfort food, so I'm making one of her favorites - spaghetti bolognese. Starting off with sautéing onion, pepper, garlic, coriander (cilantro) and chilli. Added a tsp of tomato paste and am letting it cook out a bit to bring down the sharpness of the paste. Next, I'll add the mince and brown it before adding 1 can of tinned chopped tomatoes, 1 can of tomato purée, salt, pepper, mustard powder, Italian herbs & garlic powder. I let it all summer for about 30-40 mins, then I add sliced carrots, more crushed garlic (for a fresh garlic accent) and cook for a further 10mins. My daughter isn't a fan of napoletana flavors, so I always temper my bolognese with a lil cream in the last 5mins to balance it out for her. I try to cook my bolognese for a little longer so the tomato-based ingredients can cook out nicely & soften the flavor. #foodie #foodporn #foodlover #cooking #mommylife by cheeseburgernocheese
