Food + Travel: We walked into the highly anticipated Hood Burger, bright-eyed and keen for a special burger! We ordered the 'Double Burger with Cheese' and the 'Cheeseburger' with added candied bacon, hotline rings and jalapeño mayo! We took our first bite of this masterpiece and instantly realised what all the hype was about. The patties were so thick, tender and as juicy as Biggie Smalls (which coincidentally was playing in the background)! The melted cheese that covered over the party partnered the smooth sauces sensationally! All of the elements combined perfectly, and in good proportions. Everything was held together by two, nicely toasted brioche buns. The amount of fillings made it difficult to eat at times, but the flavour was definitely there! The hotline rings (onion rings) added a nice crisp texture to the meal, while the candied bacon provided a sweet and salty tang, which was very impressive. Finally, the spicy pinch came from the jalapeño pickled mayo! Overall, we give hood a fantastic 9.5/10!
